Web "farms" for pharmaceuticals

According to this Symantec blog entry Al Gore's Web site climatecrisis.net was hacked and hidden links to hacked university page added. Hacked blog sites and comments in unsecure blog were also used to point to such hacked pages. This leads to a higher pagerank on search engines and the hacked page eventually provides a link to the pharmaceutical site that sells these products.

Social networking for charity

Kaioo starts as a new social networking platform like Facebook, MySpaces and StudiVZ. Unlike these it is provided by a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with the intention to donor revenue from advertisement to charity organisations. Beneficiaries are suggested and voted for by the community members.
