This is absolutely amazing. It seems that they provide the final technical breakthrough that is needed to make reading a digital experience. Though still another year away from production. The Kindle e-book reader from Amazon is now available on amazon.com. They call the display "revolutionary" - though several other vendors (Sony, IRex, Jinke) are already selling e-book devices for quite some time and there were a few updates and newcomers recently.
The Cybook Gen 3 is now available from Bookeen's online shop. It has a nice form factor - it is the size of a paperback but thinner and weighs less. It is price is a bit more: €350.
I really like this gadget. Lets see whether it will be under the Christmas tree.
iRex Technologies sent out their notifications that finally their iLiad e-reader is on sale. Their online shop is at http://www.irexshop.com.
I believe that the e-paper technology will give this kind of gadgets (e-reader, PDA) a complete new breath. Worth to watch. The company belongs to Philips.
